Teach your agent to try on clothes
One markdown file, written to the open agentskills.io standard. Your agent reads it once and knows when to try on, how to get a key, and which API to call.
--- name: tryonanytime description: Virtual try-on as a tool — put any garment onto any person photo and get the result image back. Use this whenever a user asks to see how clothing looks on someone, preview an outfit, or try a garment from any store, via the TryOnAnytime MCP server (preferred) or its REST API. --- # TryOnAnytime — Virtual Try-On for Agents ## When to use ## When NOT to use ## Setup ## Preferred: MCP server ## Fallback: REST API v1 ## Rules ## Errors …
How it works
No SDK, no plugin system, no config dance. Skills are just files your agent already knows how to find.
- 01
Download skill.md
Save our SKILL.md into your agent runtime's skills directory — one curl command for pi, Claude Code, or any agentskills-compatible client.
- 02
The agent discovers it
Runtimes scan their skills directory automatically. The frontmatter description tells the agent exactly when virtual try-on is relevant.
- 03
Just ask
Say "try this jacket on my photo" in any conversation. The agent follows the skill: grabs a key, calls MCP, and shows you the result.
Install in one line
Pick your runtime. Every option is the same file — drop it where your agent looks for skills.
mkdir -p ~/.pi/agent/skills/tryonanytime && curl -fsSL https://tryonanytime.com/skill.md -o ~/.pi/agent/skills/tryonanytime/SKILL.md
No compatible runtime? Paste the skill.md URL into any chat — the agent reads it and follows the instructions for the rest of the conversation.
What's inside the skill
A short manual the agent reads once, then follows every time you ask for a try-on.
## When to use
Triggers on requests like "try this on me" — and stays quiet for everything else.
## Setup
Walks the agent through getting an sk_ API key from your TryOnAnytime dashboard.
## Preferred: MCP server
Prefers the MCP endpoint with three tools: virtual_tryon, get_tryon_result, get_credit_balance.
## Fallback: REST API v1
Falls back to the plain REST v1 API when the runtime has no MCP client.
## Rules
Images up to 10MB (jpeg/png/webp), one request every 5 seconds per key, 10 credits per try-on.
## Errors
How to read 401/402/429 responses and recover without spamming the API.
Skill, MCP, REST — how they fit
Three layers of the same engine. The skill teaches your agent which layer to reach for.
SKILL.md — the manual
Tells the agent when try-on is relevant, how to get a key, and which interface to prefer.
MCP — the interface
The endpoint the skill points to first: three tools over one HTTP connection.
REST — the fallback
Plain v1 endpoints for runtimes without MCP — same engine, same key, same price.
Get a key, then let your agent dress you
One sk_ key works for the skill, MCP, and the REST API. Create it in seconds and try your first outfit.
